Indonesia Finishes Second
Indonesian duo Edwin Abeng and Pedro Limardo took home the runner-up position at the 11th Jack Nicklaus International Invitational (JNII). Their valiant effort was held off by award-winning actor friends from the Philippines, John Estrada and Derek Ramsay, at at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course on June 1, 2017. The champions won the competition with a net 15-under score, meanwhile, the Indonesian duo played the back nine 6-under par to finish with a net 10-under score.
The JNII is a two-person team competition for recreational players of all skill levels. The amateur participants get to experience competitive golf in a relaxed, social atmosphere that promotes camaraderie and interest in the game. The competition is attended by the winners of the national stages of the competition which take part in four countries: Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, and the Philippines.
This year's victors won the opportunity to play for their country in the Tournament of Champions, watch the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide, an event played at nearby Muirfield Village Golf Club on the PGA Tour, and visit the Jack Nicklaus museum.
For all participants, playing in the Tournament of Champions is a prestigious experience and a high achievement.
