Anniversary & Charity
For the third time, Combiphar held a Pro-Am tournament in conjunction with its main tournament on the Asian Development Tour event calendar. The 2018 Combiphar Players Championship Pro-Am tournament took place in Bali and was a special celebration for the company’s CEO, Michael Wanandi.
The Combiphar Players Championship Pro-Am 2018 was held a day after the US$100,000 Asian Development Tour event finished. The night before the Pro-Am, clients and business partners of Combiphar joined the CEO, Michael Wanandi, and his family, to celebrate his 50th anniversary. The celebration took place at Ayana Resort and Spa.
Waking up to a bright Bali day, Michael teed off at New Kuta Golf Course in a shotgun start at midday. Organized by OB Golf, a total of 142 participants, 27 professionals, and 115 amateurs, took part in the event at the challenging and beautiful course in Pecatu, Bali, and also enjoyed a relaxed evening atmosphere, including games, good food, and great entertainment following their rounds.
The Combiphar Players Championship Pro-Am 2018 used the Texas Scramble format; 5 players, 4 amateurs, and 1 professional. Through the Pro-Am tournament, participants engaged in fundraising for fellow Indonesians who have suffered from the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala. “We will donate to help repair their educational and worship facilities,” remarked Michael.
