Elki’s Fantastic Finish

Elki Kow made his way to the top once again in the 7th Series of the Indonesian Golf Tour. The season finale victory was a back-to-back win at the event for the 24-year-old player.

Elki drew attention in the 7th series of the Indonesian Golf Tour as he finished the 8th hole on a total of four-under-par and moved to the top of the leaderboard. After overnight leader Rinaldi dropped three strokes, Elki’s name stood alone at the top.

Elki added two more birdies and finished his final round on a total of six-under to claim the title as Rinaldi, who played behind Elki’s group, was only able to attenuate the difference in score by two strokes.

“I still had a feeling that I could win this series. However, in the final round, I never thought about the title. I just focused to fulfill my goal that was four under today. I completed many important moments on the green and minimized errors that I made,” said Elki.

This is Elki’s second IGT title which interestingly is the same title he won in last year’s IGT. “I admit that my game has progressed since last August. I have played in nine tournaments in three months. All parts of my games have run well, how to play, my strategy, my mentality, and my confidence. Thankfully, finally it can produce great results today,” added Elki.

It wasn’t only Elki who could secure back-to-back titles, Yang Hee Jun was also able to engrave a similar record for himself at Modern Golf & Country Club, Tangerang. The Korean player won the Low Amateur title, the same achievement that he grabbed in the 7th Series last year.
